I had a copy of the Soul 2 Soul at the Africa Centre CD, had to sell it along with some other stuff during one of my skint periods, although I taped a copy of it which I still have, will have to listen to that now this weekend.
I also had a CD that Don Letts put together that was a selection of the dub & reggae he used to play for the Punks at The Roxy in the 70s, alas that was sold too.
I’ve got the soul2soul Africa centre album. I paid £3 in fopp - it’s £23 now on Amazon. I can try to get you a digital copy if you want.
I probably got my copy from Fopp actually now that I think about it, thanks for the offer but it’s cool, just listening to my tape copy now as it happens, not heard it for years, good stuff, forgot about Jazzie’s announcement at the beginning, “If you’re not dancing f**k off…” lol

Very much a go to for a good while proper great selection
Murphy Fabric
I have always loved the Global Communication Fabric and Carl Craig Fabric compilations, it’s strange though as the Mark Pritchard part of the Global Communication CD is heaps better than the Tom Middleton second half. I just love the Detroit hip hop sound and that mix is so well weaved together, his Harmonic 313 guise was awesome too. Weird, but that first half is one of my favourite mixes !!
The Carl Craig one was a grower, I got the bus one night back from work after a smoke in a colleagues car and it all made sense.
Alive - YouTube - this blew my mind at the time.
Yes! …
Nuphonic London Xpress? Think it was an NME cover mount. Wish I still had mine
Stay Gold was still great. I know the vocal version is overplayed as it was a chart hit, but the original instrumental is really good in a club. So I’d say they went downhill after Stay Gold. Such a shame, those early tracks under different aliases were incredible. Quench - High Frequency especially.
You can have mine, no problem
It’s a very nice mix, but I don’t like the shouty, live, crowd noise bits.
Just found this Rub n Tug one in a box of old stuff. What a classic! It’s a completely chaotic mess. Party tunes. Sound effects. No real attempt at mixing the records together. A whole section of someone drunkenly telling a story/joke. Basically it’s the sound of a properly messy night out with your best mates. God I miss those nights out.
Thanks but I don’t have anything to play them on these days!
It is on mixcloud
Cheers. I seem to remember some of it was on YouTube at one time
Probably Harvey talking over the other two…
I’ve been enjoying this one recently, thanks to the mule sale on kompakt webstore:
it is mixed in a very classic way, with lots of tracks I didn’t know, so it was kinda refreshing to hear.
I’d also like to give a mention to Crydamoure’s Waves compilations, still get the job done immensely well.
