I go to Miami for work a lot and here’s my tips.
record stores
Lucky Records - small but mighty and there’s a food hall in the back that has tons of great options. It’s in Wynwood (same neighborhood as Dante’s)
Technique - Miami institution that has a lot of fair priced records under the bins. Great tshirts as well if that’s your thing. There’s nothing around it so you’re for the records.
T-Bag run by the former buyer for Halcyon in Brooklyn and it’s meticulously well organized with little info about every record on the sleeves. Loads of things you’ve never heard of. Proper deep dig. You have to ring a buzzer to get in and it’s hidden. Right downtown though.
Food
Epicurean - açaí bowls etc. incredible. Lunch spot.
Hidden - sushi etc.
stubborn seed if you want to spend money. Very much worth it.
Jaya at the Setai - good food, has acrobats and aerialists as well. Bit of an experience.
but honestly just go to little Havana and eat all the empanadas. Won’t break the bank and so dam good.
oh and this might be a bit cringe but if you walking past the Versace mansion go in and have a look.

Oh and if you are in Miami you have to get a Cuban sandwich. Sanguich in Little Havana is the place.

Is Churchill’s bar still open?
Yes, and still as divey as ever. That and Kill Your Idol are the two dive bars to go to but very punk rock so the music tends to do my head in.
