Prefab Sprout - When Love Breaks Down

Was trying to resist the urge to make this into a Prefab Sprout thread, but that was foolish because they’re the best at this stuff

There’s an expanded Steve McQueen (probably preaching to the choir here) that has acoustic versions of the songs. So nice…

all time fave!

Was listening to this playlist this morning and thought I’d jump in the thread and bring it up to date as it’s probably my most listened to playlist this year. Now at 223 tracks. Link below for anyone who missed it. :sparkling_heart:

Great to see this thread back, they don’t make 'em like this anymore.

This one came out January 1990 but I think we can make an exception, it would’ve been made in the 80s at least!

Got Jolyon & Moonboots Balearic playlist to thank for introducing this to me (along with countless others), had this on repeat recently

Better late than never, and a fantastic addition to the thread to boot.

Can’t believe this hasn’t been added before. My wife can’t stop playing this recently. Released 39 years ago this week.

One of the most underrated groups of the 80’s, The Colourfield. Terry Hall at his melancholic best.

what should a lonely person care
what kind a lonely person share
a broken heart is much too hard to braid a bait
'cause beauty never comes to those who wait
romance is a word
that should be seen but never heard
i don’t even know your name

Totally agree, Confession should be as well known as Don’t You Forget About Me IMHO.

Pulled this out the other day. Probably about 4 days ago, too!
