Marshall Jefferson Appreciation Thread

An absolute foundational pillar of House, he seems to have been involved directly or indirectly in so many great early house records, producing classics for himself and other people and groups.
When I was a teenager getting into House in the late 80s/early 90s a lot of the tracks I loved ( and still love) had MJ involved in their creation somehow, but I only found that out years later.
Even though every house head will know his name and tracks I still feel he’s a little unsung and isn’t written about with the same reverence someone like Larry Heard or the Belleville 3 are.

Anyway enough waffle please post your fave tracks, production , remixes whatever, from the great man.

He wrote some amazing posts on deephousepage, all lost now I guess? A real shame because there was so much history there

Really?
Never really delved into that site, think it was popular during my ‘dance music sabbatical’ years. so missed them.

I first heard this on the Weatherall Social 3 mix and it completely captivated me. Kinda deep house perfection.

Lived in Manc for a while (might even still do).

I’m pretty sure Eastwick booked him for one of his ‘people over borders’ charity gigs at the deaf institute & said he turned up without headphone, mixed everything perfectly in key & was amazing.

Always thought ‘Its alright’ was massively overlooked because of the likes of ‘someday’.

Then there’s stating the obvious…
