Little Voices

Might as well get this thread going. Share your deep cuts with the youth singing. Here’s a top fave:

A couple that come to mind straight away, will need to dig out some others.

Portuguese cover of Technotronic..

Lovely Latin number, released as a 7" in France and can be picked up for pennies

Todd Terje fused Gichy Dan with Theo Parrish ‘friendly children’ to great effect. Used to hear it out a bit.

there’s also Padilla’s memorable take on the Carpenters which featured some kids singing. Not too sure how it all came about, but an instant fave

Loving these responses. Here’s one from Morricone I first heard by Zach Cowie/Turquoise Wisdom, a DJ who played a big part in my early DJ interests.

The vinyl of this rare OST was elusive until I found it included on a compilation here: https://www.discogs.com/master/274612-Ennio-Morricone-Bandas-Originales-De-Peliculas-De-Ennio-Morricone

I was able to track down the movie on eBay, but it’s pretty outrageous. A paralyzed teen gets into a sexual relationship with his caretaker aunt. The use of this song doesn’t fit all that well but it’s such a banger.

I loved Musical Youth’s Pass the Dutchie until it was weirdly placed in Stranger Things on repeat as a sort of punchline to the poorly written stoner characters. Here are some other dub ones I love that often get a great crowd reaction:

Love this second one. Here’s another less dancy and kind of goofy Latin number:

“Whatcha doin mama?”
