I went to a Matthew Herbert Big Band performance a few years ago, at least half the audience were pensioners who obviously thought it was a traditional big band.

Anyway for one of the tracks the rhythm was generated by the whole band tearing up copies of the Daily Mail.

See this is the problem with the internet being so big. These things can go undetected for years by people who might enjoy them. I was wondering if something like the old phone book we used to use could be published, maybe yearly, like a directory for what is on the internet. It could be alphabetical or use a similar system to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme, or maybe a new system altogether which hasn’t been thought of yet.
I know it would be quite big and hard to deliver door to door but it’s surely food for thought.
