This might sound ridiculous to some but I enjoy hearing mixing. So much now is just perfect transitions so it’s refreshing to hear so thing where the selector is selecting great records and giving them a nudge here and there. That Carmel record is excellent.
I read an old Frankie Knuckles interview in Faith. He said it was important to hear the DJ “doing something” when mixing. When it is so seamless you can’t spot the join it loses some of the magic.
My all nighter set from Helsinki’s finest music bar Siltanen. Played there last Saturday and the place was packed.
