Lets hear your mixes

Had a go…

A few bally classics and then off into deeper, chuggier territory. E moments aplenty

Ma Spaventi ‘tornero’ is a beast of a tune. Oh to hear that out

Chewchew and I did some balearic b2b business in Helsinki Record Dungeon, which is a small invite only hi-fi room run by former record store owner and couple djs. No tracklist this time but feel free to ask track IDs on Souncloud.

Thanks guys. It was 4 hour set full of fire but we ended up to put out just the first 90 minutes to keep it more chill listening experience.

Cheers Sam, yes Marshall has definitely hit the spot with that one!

Here’s my latest mix on NTS’s Doing Time

Hello All , here is a radio mix I did on St. Patricks Day,
Its called Strange Sounds from Ireland 1964 -2024
and includes many different styles of music from Ireland , experimental, electronic, wave, trad fusion, house and weird pop. Its from the records I’ve collected last 20 plus years and all the samples throughout are from records too

Loads of quality in that mix ^, full of under the radar Irish business across all genres. Well worth dipping in to!

Short story with this mix is that I had a glass or two of good whisky at home the other night and decided to record a mix of my Disco records. It shows (the whisky) but I don’t care.

Longer story is that I’ve been having a very weird and tough few months with work and family stuff (not health related, which I guess is good) and have been especially depressed with playing music. Though I don’t want to stop DJing because it’s what makes me happy, I’m also depleted of whatever energy I used to have to go chasing promoters and friends with parties to remind people I still exist. Consequently gigs have been few and far between - but great when they do happen. So with my significant other traveling this weekend, I was home alone, looked at my setup and thought: what makes me happy? Playing music! So I did, and with a bit of liquid courage I decided to record it, in case it came out decent, which it did barring a few skips and shitty transitions. It was a fun 2 hours and I didn’t realise how much I needed it. If I’m lucky it might get me a spot or two at parties this year.

Anyway, if you like some disco and don’t mind wonky transitions this might be up your alley.

Nice. Quick flick through suggests this is right up my street. Will listen properly later. Are these all edits coming out on the label? I’m going to be making a few ID requests, I think.

Thanks mate. Actually a bit of a marketing fail there. Nothing forthcoming on the label

This is on the next release though!
