I had forgotten about this mix I recorded for the Argentina based radio/project Nave Anima. They asked me to record something mid last-year for a series of “live” broadcasts. I felt like my apartment was a little bit of a shitty backdrop so I arranged to record inside this modernist house here in São Paulo by architect Rino Levi, with Burle Marx gardens inside. It’s an art gallery these days, but it was closed (as was pretty much everything else due to lockdown…).
Turned out it was a nice day to record some songs, and even though I don’t dig watching myself, the overall product looks and sounds good enough. A rare happy moment last year during the lockdown.
Was enjoying that Nick but as ever not had time to listen to the whole thing. One of the downsides of not commuting is less time to dedicate to a full mix. It was your description and the spill/boy George/Astralasia that tempted me in. I like a little something I recognise to tempt me through the front door.
Astralasia was a blast from the past, a band I hadn’t thought of in a very long time
Here’s a nice chilled out show I did for Central Coasting in Sydney last Friday morning

Some words from Masahiro Tetsuka about this month’s beautiful guest mix selection from Mowtoya (Motoya Horii) as part of the Hamon Radio monthly residence with @culturetripav ,
‘I met him last year when we held a Hamon radio at a wine bar called Vinophonica in front of a station in Nagoya. He has been having a party called “Balearic can’t stop” since 2018. When he went to Ibiza 15 years ago, he couldn’t forget the atmosphere and the party started. From there, our musical companionship began’
Here’s my first mix for a while, it’s part of a series that will build in energy and tempo. This one is quite ambient. No track list unfortunately but I can help with track ids.
