I played the 12" of Need You Tonight out once and it went down a treat. The production is great, one of the best sounding records I’ve got, so it comes over well on decent system. There’s also a Ben Liebrand mix which is more electronic:

This track utilises Wicked Game in a great way and I never see anybody mention it

Funnily enough I was looking through someone’s reggae sales on discogs today and Like to Get You Know You Well was listed. I gave it a listen for the first time in 30 years and it only has a very vague reggae lilt but I did think it might have balearic edit potential at the right time!

When I was in Jamaica they were playing footloose by Kenny loggins. It’s got a bashment rhythm if you hear it from another angle.

A huge longshot here, but as a big fan of Ultramarine, I’ve never seen this release would love to hear the Ultrabass mix of Stella - does anybody happen to have a digital rip of the 12"?

will preface this by saying it’s a total guilty pleasure. I don’t even know if it’s a worthwhile record that I can make a case for, I don’t really get on with this era of techno after a certain point, but I love how thatcherite graphic designer snorting ketamine off clean tiles in 2004 at hip bar it is.

Takes a while for the cod-latin bit to kick in, which is why I ask the question. around 4m50s

Sounds like the start of Family Affair by Sly and The Family Stone!

Me too. It definitely projected good Californian sunny vibes and a sense of freedom to grey 80s Britain.
