Have loved this one for a long time but itās pretty much unknown i think? 80s b-side business from a group who were in that wave of bands that got signed in the wake of U2/Simple Mindsā commercial success. Anyhow the a-side is terrible stadium guitar music as is all the rest of their stuff (āBig Musicā or whatever it was supposed to be called), but this one song is a one off experiment for the band, all slowly building atmospheric synths & clattering drum machines (is that a Linn drum? definitely a lot of dx7 going on), always makes me think of what Jan Hammer might have done if Miami Vice was set on the west coast of Ireland. Maybe not quite balearic but i could easily imagine this on a Music From Memory compā¦

I only ever heard INXS played out very infrequently. I remember Dolan from Electric Minds playing a cool Need You Tonight edit at Visions once, which kept the riff but stripped out most of the vocal (never been able to trace it), and someone (maybe Bill or Leo Zero?) polarising opinion at Lowlife with Mystify which probably sounded a better idea on paper.
Yeah, mystified by that choice iāll be honest. Brave!
