Just stumbled across this LP from last year from a bunch of neo-soulsters from Taiwan and reckon this Brazilian vibes opening track fits the bill.
Back in the day South East Asian music didn’t crossover to the West and would never have got a spin in Ibiza (happy to be proved wrong - any tunes anyone?)

Balearic trivia………I used to work in a cafe in Bath, and Curt Smith’s Mum & Granny used to come in. Never saw him or Roland in there though, miserable swines

Not the Bollywood goes dub track I posted in the Balearic Reggae thread but a euphoric pop banger off the same soundtrack. In my mind would sound nice pitched down, but my head and reality don’t always match up.

So I was just listening to a super Sonido Tupinamba mix from the last year or so and this track is on there. Brazilian release from 2018 I think.
