How dirty is this?
Pure disco funk
Love the Dirty Harry movies and that one in particular which was inspired by the real life Zodiac Killer who was still around in the San Francisco area when the movie came out.
The DH films always seemed to be on telly when I was a kid so remind me of childhood.
Totally, all the kids at school would be doing ‘are you feeling lucky punk’ the next day.
They never show them now. I don’t think they’ve aged well.
I picked up Magnum Force on dvd from a charity shop the other week and watched it again ( a young David Soul is in it), enjoyed it for nostalgic purposes.
when I once had a bag, this was always in it…
Such a classic tune
I think a lot of liberals misunderstood the DH films, interpreting them as a justification of fascism, whereas I dunno, I thought the Callahan character was more morally ambiguous. Feels more like a comment on misanthropy and how the lone wolf struggles to fit inside the system. The early ones were filmed as the hippy dream was dying in Nixon’s America and yet a lot of it could easily have been filmed today, which maybe says a lot about how much really changed?
I know it’s cliché as hell, and Tom Cruise did it little favor over the years, but this remains the perfect theme song to a spy series:
Love the James Taylor Quartet cover of this, I thought it was well classy when I was 18.
I was thinking that as well, Callaghan would deffo be MAGA.
Incantation is also great on that album
moodymann opened his recent gala set with this.
Sorry to put this here but not sure where else it fits. I see Keith from Optimo has been diagnosed with an incurable tumour. Good guy, great taste, terrible shame. Wish him all the best.
Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, I’m absolutely stunned by this news. Horrendous.
