In Memoriam…

Probably. Was on a path to be one of the biggest DJs in the world until he was cancelled a few years ago. Like Apiento said, he lived hard. Technically though one of the very best DJs and always got the crowd going no matter the genre he was playing.

Are you implying cause and effect?

Didn’t realise he worked in Rubadub, great shop. RIP

Was reading various people talking about Salmond and Jackmaster, and they were followed every time by people trying to score points. So depressing. Time, place etc.

I thought Madonna’s Insta tribute to her brother was really moving, a raw human side to her she normally conceals

Liam Payne

My daughter’s first celebrity shock death. She was a massive one direction fan. Massive.

Feel for his kid
He clearly had problems, shame he couldn’t get on top of em. 31 is no age

We’ve definitely hit new lows as a society based on the amount of grown adults online who think it’s ok to immediately go in on Liam Payne and make jokes or say things like “no great loss” purely because he was in a boy band that really only resonated with the teens.

A troubled soul, its a really sad story. I read Cheryl Coles statements about it all, she was absolutely spot on.

Yeah what she said is spot on. It’s nuts that xfactor was auditioning 14 year olds. The pop music industry is a sewer.

Some silly girl on X tried to make it all about her by claiming she had a mutual friend in Argentina who had ‘inside knowledge’ that he might be dead. At this point the news was breaking anyway, but she was clearly trying to claim it as her exclusive. All for a few likes and retweets. It’s shameful and embarrassing. Social media is the worst sometimes.

My best mate at secondary school in the late 80s claimed, with no proof, that he was related to Geoff Capes, being typical teenagers instead of being impressed we just took the piss and from then on one of his nicknames was Capesy.
R.I.P. Geoff.

I had his autograph from when he came to the Petts Wood fair when I was little… He was very nice

His battles with Jon Pall Sigmerssan were fantastic. The cheese lift being a memorable one.

I’d like to think there’ll be just a single pall bearer at his funeral, hurrying down down the aisle in spandex, with Geoff’s coffin over their shoulder. RIP
