One of their greatest tracks, i’m just listening to Beggars Banquet now & it’s the opening track, killer album, produced by the late, great Jimmy Miller who was a top drummer himself & played drums on a few Stones classics.
My missus used to regularly do Charlie and his wife Shirley’s hair when we lived in Paris back in the noughties. She was working in a real high end salon and met a lot of big celebs, most of whom seemed pretty cool, but was blown away by how lovely Charlie was. Seemed very down to earth and an absolute gent. Very sad.
hearing that george horn of fantasy studios in berkeley has passed.
you may not know the name, but i’d venture that every single person on this forum has at least one record that was mastered by him. best ears on the west coast! thanks george…

RIP Belmondo too…
54! Too many young deaths recently. He was great in Lovecraft Country last year. Just read his obituary sounds like he was well respected not just for his acting but also as a great human being and I never realised he started his career as a dancer!
Beautiful tribute from Bunk
Loved his house music too
I saw someone say earlier that he used to be a dancer at the Sound Factory.
Really enjoyed this interview with him earlier…
