I thought he was a lot older for some reason… and also immortal

His memory will always live on in my house, i named one of my dogs after his dog in Brookside - Cracker.

I always said, “The next male dog i get, im calling him Cracker” after Jimmys dog, and when my Boxer had pups 9 years ago the first to pop out was a boy… i said to my Missus, meet Cracker :joy: . He’s still here with us now, affectionately known as Mad Cracks round my neighbourhood, coz he absolutely bonkers

Yes very sad, someone on the radio here in Ireland said Imagine all the songs he probably wrote down over years and either lost them or binned them… :green_heart:

I always assumed him and Keith Richards were immortal. Showing each generation of caners the way.

Stood in a corner shop on Finsbury Park/Highbury borders many years ago. Properly disheveled character in front of us spent a good few minutes hunting through his pockets looking for change to pay. Suddenly pulled out the biggest roll of twenties I’ve ever seen which made me pay a bit more attention and notice it was Shane.

Quick chat before he clattered off over the road with a clanking bag of bottles.

The Pogues used to be a proper fun night out before I discovered acid house

Darling arguably saved the British banking system from collapse and cash machines running dry (as well as later helping prevent the UK breaking up in 2014). Not sure enough people realise how instrumental he was in both?

Some busy obits desks today…!
