Ah no. I played All and All in my first ever proper DJ set. I still love Come Into My Life also. I remember Mastermind dropping All and All on their BIG system at carnival 86 under the West way, Everyone went berserk.

Ah I remember him from my time in Brighton. Always wondering around the North Laine, dressed to impress. A true Brighton character. RIP

Always looked at absolute death’s door too. Recently I saw him a few times wearing full racing motorcycle leathers & cowboy boots, looked amazing.

Yeah he looked pretty old when I was there 2002 to 2009. Saw him every weekend in the streets without fail, even more when I lived on Church Street. He seemed a total enigma and I don’t ever really recall him hanging out or talking to anyone else but he seemed loved by all.

My best mate lived on Church St in the 90s, opposite the camera shop. Great bit of town to be in / stumble home to.

It was, really enjoyed my couple of years there. I was in the flat above what used to be Cissy Mo at the time, on the corner with Portland Street. Seconds from the Earth & Stars pub.

Just saw a post on facebook that said “RIP Rose Windross”, Soul II Soul vocalist on the track Fairplay. Can’t see anything online about this, so hopefully an error.

Nothing on her Discogs page. They are pretty qiuck to document anything over there.

Fingers crossed it’s a no. Fairpay was always my most fave Soul II Soul jam. Has a nice raw vibe about it.

Jerry Lee Lewis. 87. What a life that was.

“Meanwhile, Lewis was arrested in 1976 after he turned up drunk at Presley’s Graceland home in Memphis with a loaded pistol on the dashboard of his car.”

Bloody hell!

Its hard to think about what those lives were really like there and then. Seems completely mad but probably really normal for them.
