There was a pic with LMK a while back, looked like a bonkers pair, lived life to the full! RIP

Full life indeed e.g., 0.23 secs on

A proper one-off

Who is LMK if it’s not a daft question.

My first love, back in 1990, wore one to a rave I was also at. She danced on the stage in it and I thought she was cool as fuck. Think Lisa Stansfield also wore one around that time too.

Anyway, thanks Pam for the memories. RIP.

This is such a banger. Not having grown in up in that era I snagged a random copy a couple years ago. A great one, always goes down well

They released a couple of good 12s, worth picking up the other too, at least for this:

A really interesting character - diy - right up my street. I didn’t know that much about her. We were born in the same place and I must have walked past her stall in hyper hyper many times, none the wiser. RIP

Hyper Hyper! Bloody hell I’ve not thought of that place in decades! Was there a shop/stall in it called Sign of the Times?

Yes! Thats the one.

There was a similar kind of place up the top of the King’s Rd too. Past King’s College Uni buildings. Had some great stalls. And a good record stall too. Think it was quite famous, but I don’t remember its name.

They did gr8 partyies as well
Great mix of DJs on the right side of proto handbag ( we need a proto handbag thread)

I went to one at some posh ex members club in Mayfair (Embassy? - Vaguely remember it being where Christine Keeler met Profumo)
Black tie old school London doormen
Wood panelled corridors for miles

Graeme Park ( not that often in London but did have early residency at the Brain) ) & Mark Moore with telephone headphone - One of 1st times I heard River Ocean which seemed to go on for days

We then went to Baggleys which wasn’t as salubrious as our friend was the March Hare

We then went to opening of Lizard Lounge which was even less salubrious as given tickets & had to walk through empty main room before it was cleaned & Breeze did the upstairs

Also SotT did a NYE in Waterloo warehouse
‘Chill out’ room had mirrors set in the coffee tables

Was that Phuture in The Garage?

Yes! - it was The Garage, so could have been called Phuture. Thank you! If we can all pool our collective memories we’d be quite a formidable unit!
