Good find!
A lot of digging through boxes and boxes of charity shop shite today.
I only got through a small section in the time I had. Yeah he seems to price it up at the higher end of Discogs which isn’t great. He wanted £20 for the Blue Nile and £25 for Padlock but I asked for a deal and managed to get them for £38. I was pretty happy with that as both were in great condition.
Two first pressings, both in very decent nick. £12 for MA which is a bargain in my book for one of my favourite LPs ever and sounds loads better than my crackly old copy.
Bought a few crates worth, dumped the majority of it. I’m going to hand it to Marvin Gaye as a rare decent Motown and the best seven found. Here is a bootleg of Timewarp on Moo records, still cleaning.
Oh, Kalimba Tree…Cosmic.
Edited in Cosmic dream on the end, a lot came in but this is an interesting way to get hold of obscure music.

Love the Deep in Vogue 12” .
The Aleem twelve is interesting as it’s a vocal of one over the instrumental of another
(Release/Get loose) not released on NIA so must have been a UK thing.
I didn’t know the third 12inch of that trinity goes for so much. I will check out the US 12.
Deep in Vogue made me excited also, even though I must have left dozens behind over the years as it wasn’t Call A Wave.
‘£3 each no discount man’. Once I had given him thirty quid he then priced the three boxes at £50 the lot…the world of record sellers makes no sense.
Pulled out the Deanne Day record on a second slow rumage and left the Judge Jules 2000 era 12’s behind apart from Adagio For Strings that was warped on getting home, the sort of cheese that sells but we don’t speak of. Throwing Muses is a great 4AD product, always worth a punt.
Onward International on the wants for some time. Deanne Day was a AW side project and is a great bit of house music. Durran Durran extended mixes worth a spin now and again. Brace yourself for Jump In The River, it must have been referenced somewhere as I had this on my radar?

That Onward International 12 is so great, only recently came across it
That Deanne Day track reminds me of his '96 Essential Mix
Totally agree, the Working Week stuff from that label much less so, although I have seen advocates for some of that online.
Unlikey £1 find yesterday, New Zealand Duran Duran pressing in Deptford Market
https://www.discogs.com/release/303033-Duran-Duran-Night-Versions
karen finley really karen finley’s all over the place on that one.
I may have beaten last weeks United Diaries output.
Just played it on headphones and it’s a cousin to Tales of Taboo, that amazingly seems to have had a reissue.
Art, init.
£1 a pop. A lot of crates, most of the records had “Hugh”/“DJ Hugh” written on them.

Hugh had some great records by the looks of things. The Tamiko-Jones is on the wants, not heard of Detail records, interesting period of record promotion or lack of.
Great work!
Love that Tamiko Jones - the B side instrumental is absolutely brilliant
