Another copy of this lovely album but yet another copy that has surface noise and marks. I must have found five or six of these over the years and every single one has been the same. Annoying.
A copy of this. No idea why this is for sale at such absurdly high prices on discogs. It’s not even really a jazz record. Weird. Highest it’s ever sold for is £45 on eBay. Doubt it’s worth half that.
Back in the car boot groove. Highlight of the weekend was a sealed 1978 copy of One Nation Under A Groove for £15. One of my favourite LPs of all time and my current copy is trashed so very happy. Siouxsie is also 1st press mint for a tenner. The rest £1/£2 each. Yet another copy of Willie Colon!
Ah yeah. That’s the baldelli / loda one. Can’t remember another thing on there. Still traumatised from the Betty Blue film 20 years later. Me and some not at all cool pals at university did have a go at recreating those fizzy tequila things. Can’t bring to mind the score though.
The score is very 80s French quirky beats/Cafe Del Mar esque … I love it. “Betty et Zorg” is the theme, very Big Blue vibes, and a short Afro beat track called Gyneco Zebre.
Well…these had been down the bootsale yesterday and had been picked through. Today I got to pull out everything I didn’t know along with some known good ones. Classic haul material here of no interest to the ‘record dealers’ cluelessly flicking through looking for a Meatloaf album.
I’ve picked up the last few cheap in the week, the Sheila Chandra and Big Muff.
Not going to link to discogs as some of the prices are crazy now, the usual 50p to £2 apart from four at £3 each from my favourite bootsale guy who has now got expensive, everything is £3 now with no deals, even the crappy pop 7’s. Still, the day ended well.
I have two Juicy fruit, picture cover and generic sleeve version. Didn’t think I still be finding this after that comp came out, always goes down well to patrons.
