America must be an Audiphiles dream on CD? Looks like a great haul of classics
Iām far from an audiophile but it sounded good when I played it earlier, never heard the LP before, only knew āHorse With No Nameā but enjoyed it and will deffo be giving it a few more plays, currently listening to the Roxy best of which is all killer, no filler
Fun fact, even Neil Youngās Dad thought he sang āHorse With No Name.ā
Filtering out my buys to 20p on the 7ās, highlight is a very rare Midi-Rain, found a pair. The rest up to Ā£1.50. Orb did some very good releases around this time of early internet, they seem a tough find. Edited in Wally Badarou, nearly left it at 50p but it seems to be finally getting some demand.

Midi Rain
Was wondering on that, seems a marmite track? It has given me a fresh record for the upcoming Kitchen party that might connect.
Cheap on 12.
ā¬12.50 for these four records in Radiation Records, Rome.
Back section of the shop has soul and dance priced to go.
I have āI dig youā on various comps and albums, but wanted to see if this pressing sounds louder.
The rest no idea, but worth a try for the price.
Nothing amazing today but all unplayed 12s and £3 each:
Tribe called quest - Stressed out/1nce again
Marvin Gaye - funky space reincarnation/got to give it up
Malcolm mclaren - madam butterfly
Chic - forbidden lover
Atmosfear - dancing in outer space
Revenge - gun world porn (Iāll buy anything on Factory)
Two car boots and some charity shops. Quite a lot of time trawling around this weekend and so I found some good stuff.
Off to research that lot, some of it looks very oddā¦as good as it looks?
Everything for next to nothing including the Clarity 12 at a quid. Iād rate the TC Curtis higher personally, I have another two good ones from him. Finishing with all you need to know about Milton Keynes.
Another day at the office.

Crass - Penis Envy in the middle is punk but has a track called Our Wedding on it which I really like, so a keeper. Pixies - Doolittle is a first pressing in NM condition, find of the weekend probably. Le Pamplemouse LP you might know/have - a Rinder/Lewis production. David McCallum is one of his David Axelrod productions and is great 60s beaty instrumental jazzy pop covers, which Iām a sucker for.
Great haul there Cafe au Lait on Le Pamplemousse is a great tune
Wow great score - and Anna Systemās Breaking Down is a killer (never seen an original out and about)
Donāt have Le Pamplemouse, not as common as El Coco stuff for me on the ground. I do love thier stuff, super deep disco at times and bizare at others. Not seen any of these before apart from a super discount thing with a yellow sleeve, which has been sold.
A lot of these were played on my battery turntable, luckily sonically seem good. This seller has an endless selection of somewhat damp and manky records, I have to listen to see if itās good and also throw back the ruined ones, I really donāt have a lot of knowledge, itās impossible to know all these.
Mega car boot haul today. One of those days when fate smiles kindly on you twice in one morning. These are the keepers, quite a few more library LPs going up on eBay. The Daniel Johnston LP is a first press in excellent nick, and one of my best finds of this or any other year. Most of these for Ā£3 and none of them more than Ā£5. Iām a happy man (easily pleased).
Whatās the deal with selling/trading at MVE in Greenwich?
Do they go via Discogs median pricing if you want to sell some records?
Took in a box of admitedly bog standard 7", and hoping for at least Discogs lowest price, but their offer was way short of that. Ended up getting a decent return (well over Discogs lowest) on the same box as an unitemised job lot on ebay.
Guess if you have desireable stuff it would be a different story? Iāve heard fair shops will calculate 3rd to the seller, 3rd to operating costs and 3rd profit, based on what they think they can sell it for.
I donāt know about them in particular but āas little as possibleā seems to be the norm (unfortunately!).
I doubt thereās any Discogs research before offering a price.
