Hauls Found Today

Gianni Bella is nice, not likely to see that in UK. Perhaps it was bought on a holiday?

A few bits from a shop last week. The Ras-I 12" is some nice roots reggae on the A side, with vocals reminiscent of Eddy Grant. Oddball pricing at £4.50 a pop, £5 for Labi Siffre (VG only). £30 for 8 records in all so fair

we need a thread of terrible reggae album artwork

Great couple of great deep House tunes there, not found anything on those lines since starting the thread.

Almost never see any good 90s House at car boots

Agreed, next to impossible to find now. I sold off doubles of things I found multiples of, once a inventory of my collection was done, as I didn’t really know what was in it.

I did very well about 15 years ago with very little knowledge or interest in House at the time, it’s not finding the first great house 12 it’s when you find the second. An example below, the hope of more of this gets me out of bed in the morning.
Edit: not this specific mix on that I quickly found on youtube, as I just clicked on Gavin’s link to Bandcamp, appears to be a later mix for the download package

The bit around 3 mins reminds me of old B&W Robinson Crusoe used to watch in the school holidays, loved that series. Coupled with the Agua Rey Holy Dance bit, bloody lovely, how have I never heard that before?

The melody is totally lifted from that (see also Robinson Crusoe by Art of Noise).

Unashamedly one of my favourite records ever, and this copy sounds great
(& I was listening to Madonna at the time thanks to @elzorro )

I’d love a good comp of early Madonna 12" versions.
