Great records that sound even better when off your head

No subtlety with this one.

To start, absolute magic.

Remember playing this one way back in the day and having such a good moment to it that I forgot I was the DJ.

This one is a proper pulling faces with your mates record.

So deep you feel like you might be in a hole you can never climb out of

Josh Milan, the greatest

I’m a sucker for the appregio with filter movement mid-way through, real eyes rolling back in your head recipe :yum:

I’d wager E2E4 towers over every single track that gets posted in this thread, and every track that gets posted to this thread is one way or another indebted to E2E4 or derivative of it.

in theory this thread could apply to just about anything but a few personal fave moments over the years

Proper wig lifter

An acquaintance of mine had a nigh on spiritual experience to this.

And @fred_dibnah on the money with the E2E4 comment!

Really didn’t get this edit when it first appeared. Subsequently heard it on a boat in Croatia. It made sense.

What substance are we taking here Pills / MD type or anything that gets you off your head?

If I’m spannered on edibles or oil then almost anything I listen to sounds better than when straight.

Warning it can go the other way- we went to the beauty and the beat party at the ancient technology centre. Took some acid and convinced ourselves that the music they were playing some super slow and that they must have pitched it down loads to make it more dubby. We kept askin- when are they going to play something more up tempo??!

A few weeks later they posted the live recording- my sober head heard dance music at very normal Bpms lol

Kabuki must be one of the best house records of the last 10 years or so. Ive never heard it played out, but I have listened to it every week since its release. its just faultless imho.

Anyone know if Kabuki is available digitally anywhere?

There’s an edit of it on Bandcamp. Not sure how different it is to the original.
