Love my gardening. Unfortunately, living in a flat, I no longer have a garden. Used to grow a tonne of fruit and veg. And mushrooms. Had a log full of shiitakes. Really easy too.

I have taken up drinking coffee during lockdown. Never got into it before but felt like something was missing in my life and coffee has filled that gap. I recommend it.

Beer helps too, but obviously can’t drink that all day long. Still nice to have when you can. I like a beer during the school run, at the end of the day, not in the morning. One is satisfying enough, you don’t need more. It’s a good way to enjoy in short bursts. You don’t need to have a 5 hour session, just have one while walking to school.

My kids bought me a coffee dripper for my birthday. Game changer

They also gave me a load of packs of top quality beans :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah I can imagine my taste in coffee developing and getting more refined. Currently as I’m new to it, I’m fine with instant and I don’t want to rush into anything beyond that immediately. It’s like with music, I’ve grown out of what I liked when I was 11 years old, so I’m sure I’ll get into more sophisticated coffee making. When offices reopen I’ll experiment with the office coffee machines. Never bothered with them before.

A good espresso can make your day!

I miss really decent coffee shops. The Grind capsules for Nespresso have seen us through lockdown ok though.

I can thoroughly recommend a subscription from Method Coffee, and an aero press to make it in. I have done substantial research into coffee for most of my adult life and this is the best combo I have found.

Was always happy with my Gaggia classic but it broke a few months ago and we moved up to a sage barista. The Difference has surprised me and we now get a perfect shot time after time.

For beans I recommend the formula Rossa from the Algerian coffee shop next to the admiral Duncan on old Compton st, soho. It’s what they use for their own espresso and at £35 for 2.5kg Wholesale including delivery to Dorset it’s pretty good value.

Day off work luckily the weather is getting better

Mrs does the garden work I have to keep the dog out of the way while planting stuff…

Not a bad deal, back home now sun is shining and the soundtrack is pretty good for beer o clock.

Takes two to mango :beers:

An old mate has been trying to get work done on these two little Fisher man’s huts he has at the pier couple of minutes walk from our house, loads of hassle trying to get around the 100+ years law’s that are stil in place but he finally got a bit done to some extent that keeps everyone happy and its looks pretty good…

And the view

Had the dog at the end of the pier he’s not a fan of water

Thanks, gonna give some of those Grind capsules a go. :v:t2:

He could sell that for £100k if he was in Cornwall  Actually how ace does that look, just too much competition for space over here. Was some lovely spots down Valentia Island way bit like that, lush.

Valentia Island is nice. He’s having me and my 3 down for dinner and few drinks some evening when weather gets settled :yum: I’m planning staying for the sunrise as its a great spot or that.

This looks beautiful. I think living by the sea has been a massive privilege not just during lock down but for many reasons, but during lock down we definitely took it less for granted. More so Mrs. Chris who is now working from home permanently whereas I’m in and out all day. We live 2 mins form the beach and face west so we watch the sun set every day so are aware how very very luck we are.

This was from our lounge the other night. Mentally the view and the proximity to water has saved us in lockdown in ways we didn’t appreciate before.

For sure and visiting Ibiza for the Last 29 years made me appreciate it more and more in the last say 10 yrs, cooking dinner at home and bringing it down to the sea on a good summers night with the family was always nice. Planning alot of that this year with friends and Music and wine :notes::wine_glass:.
