Opening game of the season away to Falkirk. Had the fear every time they came at us. Frustrating to go ahead twice. Final score 2-2. In European news, we won in Luxembourg earlier in the week to secure next round against Rapid Vienna so a tad tougher.

Here we go again :soccer: :orange_heart::black_heart::white_heart:

I invested in a team in Vermont a few years back and they play in the USL2, which is in some ways the third division in the States but it’s a summer only league for collegiate players and those guys between MLS or USL1 teams. Average age is 20 and change, and last night they only went and won the national title. 8000 people came down to a stadium that holds 3500 in one stand and all of the merch etc was sold out before the game. Proper lovely atmosphere and we definitely got a soft decision for a penalty to tie things up. Kid who scored the winning goal in the last minute also scored the winning goal in the final game of the college championship as well. Probably played 15 minutes across the two games as well. People were crying in the stands, flares going off, that Icelandic clap thing felt genuine and not forced.

Massive win for us against Rapid Vienna last night. We went in as underdogs and weren’t expected to do much but we dug in to take a 2-2 draw back to Tannadice next week for the home leg.

We go again, 9 more months of stress, expense, travel chaos, hangovers, laughrer and tears. Couldn’t be without it!

Can’t wait. Though I’ve enjoyed the break from all the associated shite and noise that comes with it. Here’s to defending a league title for the first time since 1984. Up the reds!

Happy that Mark appreciated what Wigan were trying to achieve.

But it does feel such a long time ago.

Up the tics :slightly_smiling_face:
