off to The Lane for the latest edition of ‘STOP ARSENAL’…
Randomly at our local indoor arena there’s a framed Oxford United jersey. Just framed, no context at all.
Ha, where’s that?
Klopp looks like a man who just cant wait for the season to end.
Arsenal putting up a valiant effort, they deserve to win it after some of the football they have played this season. Can’t see City throwing it away though sadly
I was sat right behind him at Everton on Wednesday and he looked done. Spent much of the game just sat down, looking on powerlessly rather than his normal animated self. He kindly came over and signed an autograph for my lad after the game but his face said it all. Such a shame but looks like he has nothing more in the tank.
@Sam_C Forest taking it to the wire
Our season has been mad. Everyone is drained.
They are, probably stay up tho.
Watched Barnet get hammered 0-4 in the pouring rain on Saturday in National League play off semi final. No Wembley trip next weekend, then.
Then ended up in a mass brawl today after my U14 team won 0-1 away at a very aggro Enfield. Great performance from the boys. Shocking behaviour from our opponents/their parents/their ref. It’s all love in the Watford (un)Friendly League!
I don’t like arsenal but would quite like them to do it this season.
I support a championship side and read a really interesting article about whether fans really want to go uo
The beautiful game!
In Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. It’s very random.
Besides the money I can’t really see why. The premier league is not really an anybody can beat anybody league as it’s advertised to be, but the championship truly is.
Parents are horrible. My kid plays in a local league and he’s better than everyone else by a mile but he’s a gentle soul so no showboating, etc. just the occasional worldie. Last year we were playing a team who are closely associated with the semi-pro team out here and they win all their matches 7-0, 8-0, etc. but my kid and his friends decided to turn on the skills and they were winning which caused one of their parents to call start insulting my kid for his hair - he’s had 2 haircuts in his life and likes art, science and the ocean more than anything so I’m sure you get an idea of the length. It started with Fabio, went to Tarzan and then when he megged their best player and drove one in the far corner and he did his little dance it went straight to f_ggot. I shut the dude up quickly and removed him from the sideline but driving home and not talking about beating the best team in the league but rather getting asked by my 10 year old who was just having fun with his friends what that word meant really took the shine off the day.
My eldest used to referee with the local kids league and it’s one of the most horrible things to experience. He refused to referee any game older than under-12 because the parents were always such a bunch of shits once you got to under-13.
I don’t get it at all. The pressure they put on their own kids is wild as well. Seen parents make their ten year olds run laps after a match. Calm down, he’s never going to be a pro.
It’s a weird dynamic… If you win the championship you’ve been winning pretty much every week, you then go straight into getting battered every week in most cases and spending heavily to do so. I love the championship but I still want us to get promoted
Striving for promotion/to win the league is the essence of competitive football. It shows how vast the gulf is between the prem and the rest of football when some fans seriously don’t want to get promoted.
emotionally & economically its like winning champions league
Im an armchair Forest Fan & if we stay up it will be like winning the league
