I imagine it wouldn’t be too challenging given they could argue misrepresentation in court, and I believe that the UK has a misrepresentation act of some sort that would make it quite easy to have a contract voided.

An absolute deflection, anyone who had been following English/European club football for more than 5 minutes, & had half a brain cell, knew the whole thing was dodgy as f*ck years ago when they claimed they made more income than Real Madrid.

An 1177% increase in revenue by becoming the most popular club on earth within a few years of the takeover. Some achievement when you can’t fill your own stadium.

Exactly. They still can’t fill their stadium after all they’ve won.
They even hand out free tickets to schools all over the North West to fill seats.
There’s always notifications on my daughter’s school app throughout the season for free tickets to their games, PL and CL.
The company I work for are a ‘partner’. I could phone and get tickets for any home match since they involved themselves. Even a CL semi final. They have distanced themselves since late last season. I expect the partnership has been dissolved.

Went down a rabbit hole last night and did very quick maths and realized that the whole of the Premier League generates roughly 8% of what Tesco does. Their CFO would probably find a football club’s P&L to be quite quaint.
