FAO: Liverpool Area. The Sirens Call presents Tiago (Lux Fragil Lisbon, Interzona13, DFA etc.) Free Admission this Saturday

Hi all,
Thought this may be of interest to the forum community in the Liverpool and Manchester areas. Before our kitchen street takeover with Budino in November we have something a bit different, a free admission audiophile dancefloor party in Suono with Tiago this Saturday 25/10/25. Here’s all the details below:

The sounds of Tiago Miranda have been penetrating the walls of Lisbon’s most iconic nightclub for 27 years. In a city where the underground music scene is and has always been strong, Lux Frágil is at the pinnacle of its music culture and Tiago its most venerated resident DJ. Over the last two decades, the time he’s spent behind the decks has manifested into sets that can sometime span the entire night, sets that have come to define the club worldwide because of Tiago’s radical yet flawless ability to segue between genres for hours upon hours. No matter the crowd, no matter the generation, no matter the city – his ability to commandeer and connect with a crowd is on point. Miranda has enjoyed an equally illustrious, not to mention varied, production career over the past decade. He’s perhaps best known for his output as Tiago, his studio productions have that same ability to connect with disparate audiences and have captured even the ear of James Murphy, which resulted in a playful release on DFA Records. He also connected with Johnny Jewel and his label Italian’s Do It Better (think Chromatics and Glass Candy) but more recently he’s begun releasing under his own homegrown label called Interzona13. Miranda’s work has covered a broad span of projects and styles, which includes a stint in the krautrock meets Detroit techno of Portuguese group Gala Drop, as well as downtempo fare on ESP Institute as Sea Power and Change. He’s also at one point been a member of seminal Portuguese post punk band Pop dell’arte and punk band the Loosers He his also involved in a great variety of projects working distinguish formats such as techno, house, chill out, dub, leftfield rock and disco, releasing on labels such as Leng, Disco Devil, Ene Tokyo, Hands Of Time (Tiago), Rong Music, Eskimo (Slight Delay), Claremont 56, Internasjonal (Mendes & Alçada), Italians Do It Better (T&K), Esp Institute (The Sea Power & Change), Golf Channel (Gala Drop) Gomma etc. His remixes, edits and productions have been praised and supported from Rub N Tug to Andrew Weatherall etc. Miranda’s work as TNT Subhead began with a 12″ released through Groovement back in 2010, and the Northern Portuguese label has gradually coaxed more of this material out of the producer. An Ecstasy & Release 12″ surfaced brandishing the hypnotic title track, along with a rather epic remix from Thomas Bullock’s Tom Ov England moniker.
