A friend played mr Kirk at a wedding we went to in the summer, a brave choice, but it went down a storm.

I have taken to using “six seven” and “fairs” as my 11 year old tells me to stop trying to get down with the kids.

i was playing mariokart with the kid and they were trying to “explain brainrot memes” to me (they’re 11, they think they know it all) while i was like - kid, i know a thing or two.

“oh yeah dad? like what?” at the same time i zomped them with a turtle shell i yelled LEEEEROY JENKINS and they were fully baffled. and i never explained myself.

My 7yo has tried explaining to me what six seven is a couple of times but i’ve still not got a clue. She’s also called me Bro a couple of times till I quickly told her to never call me that :sob: also found out this week one of her little classmates calls their (male) teacher ‘brah’

All ‘fits’ and ‘giving’ in our house these days.

Yassified is a great one. It means rather touched up or glamorized. Like if you put a photo through a bunch of filters or blinged it up. Yass originates from drag balls i.e. “yasss queen”.

Yeah, if you haven’t seen the film Paris is Burning, where yass queen rose to fame: it’s essential viewing.

Ilana Glazer also played a part in elevating “Yass Queen”via the very funny Broad City.

My seven year old boys were going through all the brainrot names they knew last night, Chimpanzini Bananini and the like… I had to google it to see what it was all about but I still don’t really get it.
