Yeah the frustration trying to get that thing to cooperate under your hands can cause some damage to records or platter… best to use slip mats and be happy with a liiiitle less audio quality/isolation

Having such a small home (a wee wooden cabin about the size of a large bedroom) I have a one in, one out policy when it comes to hardware. It has made me be strict on only getting stuff that I am really sure I want/need. If it isn’t something that isn’t a big upgrade on what I have, or is something that no plugin has replicated well (hello spring reverb) then it’s not happening for me.
Hardware is a lot more fun, but the cost is prohibitive, especially when the quality of vst’s is so high now. Even with plugins, I’m trying to stick with a few essentials beyond what Ableton comes with.
