Nearly 11 years old this old girl, but conquered Great Gable at 900 metres high today, so a special treat when we got back to the village.

Sitting in her favourite spot - perfect view of the kitchen for any possible droppings, possible view of the postman on one side, possible squirrels on the other.

My partner’s dog (toy poodle) is allowed to sleep on the bed. Me and the dog have a great relationship, love him to bits and he clearly loves me too.

The last two mornings when we’ve surfaced he’s returned to the bed and pissed on it, on my side.

What’s going on here? 3+ years without anything like this then two days running

Our last three dogs (boston, pug, chug) started weeing on downstairs floor when they got into older age (we laid puppy pads and they helped a little bit but not much…we even tried dog nappies!). I’m sure they would have done it upstairs or in bed if we let them up or in there. How old is he? It can be a sign of an underlying medical condition, stress (e.g., change in external factor) and/or it got up to go out to do it and couldn’t hold any longer as bladder changes with age.

He’s only 4 (human years) so it’s not an age thing.

Yes, that is pretty young. Hope you get to the bottom of it and it stops. Is he neutered? Lots of support and ideas online e.g., 5 Easy Ways to Stop Your Poodle From Peeing in the House – Poodle Report

Thanks for the link, very informative. He’s not been neutered, he’s a breeding dog so not gonna happen. Seems like he’s marking but god knows why after all this time
