DJ Harvey at Electric Chair

What a great night. Massive props to Luke, Justin and everyone involved.

Harvey makes playing and connecting with a massive crowd in a big room seem so easy and it really isn’t (I would imagine, not that I’ve ever tried). Never resorts to lowest common denominator banging it out.

Great crowd - everyone really friendly and not just full of old duffers like me.

I’m guessing a few of you on here might have been there too?

Really wish i could have gone to it, never seen him spin before, but family commitments mean a social life is off the cards at the moment

George’s vocal was at its finest in this period, smooth as silk.

the ‘totally outed’ mix was way better imo. Surprised he didn’t play that version

Would have loved to have gone but alas couldn’t make it. Saw some videos on Instagram. Crowd looked and sounded brilliant.

I was there with Mrs Spider. It was magnificent. Went to Hidden Saturday afternoon too for MCDE, also very good.

I was there with friends old and new. Met a few folks I literally hadn’t seen since electric chairs 2005 ish! Luke and Justin were ace. Artwork built the anticipation before Harvey took us through. The shared love and energy in the room was real - a sensory overload on my first proper night out for 18 months! Top night.

Thanks for sharing some of the selections above.

This was played by Justin. It was a fantastic night. Different scale to anything i’d normally attend. Certainly glad i made the trip

It was a great night, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A couple of things though, The Unabombers should have played at least the last hour and the sound quality was terrible.

That icehouse was a touching moment…brought it back just now :fist:

Was it the og deodato he played ? Sounded proper cosmic if so…

I’m not sure, it sounded like it.

You’re right though, it was definitely a trip :dizzy:

We moved to be near the front but found the sound all top and terrible. Stood at the back or on the platform was far better. I thought the Unas built it up perfectly chuggy so the first half of Artwork seemed unnecessarily similar, from the second half of his set through all of Harvey it was spot-on. Felt so good to dance so much after an age. Worth the horrendous 8 hours there and back on National Express from Exeter.
