Discogs help

Just wondering what you guys do if a record you bought hasn’t arrived yet.

I bought a record over a month ago and it hasn’t made an appearance yet. The seller definitely shipped it. Do you just have to eat it?

Hell naw. Open a claim via Paypal, seller can claim if he shipped with insurance.

I’d approach the seller and tell them the situation and see what they can do regarding the missing item. If they’re non responsive and unwilling to help take the matter up with Discogs and enter a PayPal claim if you paid via this method. If the seller is not cooperative give them negative feedback. I hate doing this and it’s a last resort but if you’ve ordered something you should get it or your money returned. Good luck!

Do they have any tracking info ?

It’s the sellers job to get it to you IMO.
A month is long enough, they should really refund/claim their end.
Uk post is very good in my experience. Is it expensive/if so then surely it was sent tracked

Despite all the provisos that people put on their accounts about non-arrival not being their responsibility, it 100% is. They paid for a service to get the record to you and if it doesn’t arrive, then it’s on them.

For this reason, it’s also depressingly easy for the unscrupulous (not you @Casual ) to say a record hasn’t turned up when it has, and put in a PayPal claim for it. I just sent everything tracked in the end, even if they refused to pay for it.

Yeah 100%. I’ve seen those notes, it’s just bellendery. Probably a good indicator of the levels of service to expect!

It must have been tracked.

This is what he sent me:

Hey! I just requested a tracking update. this is strangely stuck at the 18th of June:

18/06/2025 - 12:19 >> The shipment was processed at Pakajo and is on its way to the shipping partner: Deutsche Post IC World.
07/06/2025 - 12:44 >> The shipment was created.

God my spidey senses going a bit.

What’s the other one I’ve seen. Something about refunds minus PayPal fees?
You whut?

Germany? That could be a problem…

I stopped posting to Germany as had stuff going missing.
Despite the German stereotype for efficiency it seems they can’t do a proper postal service

aah ok, I thought italy was the issue in Europe. There’s another copy of the record in Japan so I may just cut my losses and go for that one.

Well look what arrived 2 minutes ago.

ive had this a few times and its then miraculously turned up. if someone doesnt scan it properly at any point it can still proceed on its way and be delivered or sit on a shelf because it technically ceases to exist as far as the next stage of the delivery process is concerned. That said, if something ive sent doesnt arrive, its on me to sort out

haha, just seen this. so annoying when that happens, but also phew!

Think I manifested it.

When did they bring the ability to set a minimum order amount in?

Bought two tunes I wanted this week and two I didn’t want but were cheap

I had the same selling something on eBay to a guy in America, we went back & forth, he raised a complaint with eBay, the next day it arrived out of nowhere after weeks of waiting

glad it turned up.

top tune too! 33 +8 is nice on this.

as others have said, just go straight to PayPal if the seller is longing you out on discogs. I’ve had it once or twice where that’s happened and they’re just a crap seller. PayPal is such a big/rich company that they just do a full refund without even bothering to take funds back from the seller most of the time, so it’s no problem feeling guilty for the seller being out of hand if they have shipped the record, also good if the record is damaged etc. and the seller is being a pain on discogs.
