And also this by the genius Mr Tolliday (which received a well deserved reissue from @Piers recently)
Managed to get a repress of the fallout 12” recently. So bloody good been after it for ages.
Where to start?
How about this as a recent take on the genre. Delroy Edwards/ Live & Let Live.
The pads at 1.04mins. Say no more.
That Lousoul is out of this world. It is lined up to be on my show this week in fact
Simple and full of soul
There will be lots more from Patrice I feel
And this man
Always wondered why Daniel Bell only did this 1 house-y EP
This is lovely!
Sir henrys is where I earned my stripes from 1991. For us there was two types of House. Good House and Bad House…
Do you know my fellow DJ’s over on deepvibes radio, the deepsouthsounds fellas? Regulars at Sir Henry’s
Another old fave
As good a place as any to note that IMO anything that moves you is “deep” and that a lot of self-described “deep house” is bland as fuck. Like Alison Limerick “Where Love Lives” is deep as deep can get IMO. So is bucketheads “the bomb” or “plastic dreams”. To me it should just be short-hand for really good house.
Fingers deep…
Every copy of this 12” has surface noise deep…
Offensive to “purists” and really really deep…
Incredible sound design deep…
Under and an alias deep…
Regular djs or punters? I know Greg and Shane very well…
Ronan C? Stevie G?
Ed and Ferg. I think they were just punters. They have one or two other fellas who do the show who I haven’t spoke to as much over the years. Shane may be one of them but not sure
