see, this reply made me go back and listen to that and now I’m a fan too! proper deep
Yes but especially ‘edge of time’ which has that ‘dancing on a spaceship with no power flying into the heart of the sun’ vibe
I’m a sucker for those rough sawtooth chords. That’s what what I loved about Prescription Underground the most, those off kilter chords and stabs.
I love the fact they used Arthur Scargill and Tony Benn. Not sure it worked but 10/10 for an original sample. Anyone else have any other deep house tracks that have sampled great Left wing activists and politicians from the 70s and 80s. It’s a bit niche.
One of my favourites on Classic
There’s a lot of records on here, that are amazing, but I wouldn’t call them deep - just house records. Deep House; well it’s just, deep.
Someone’s done Kevin Yost right?
Nail - Its A Fine World.
Straight out of NG9, though if Deep House had an address it would be Forest Fields, NG7. Not a place on Earth can lay a stronger claim.
Agree, we’ve got all carried away. Lots of hands in the air bangers, but it’s all good. No Scouse house here.
A Bounce classic, from all the way back. Deep dance floor house music with a killer bass line.
Amazing record, remember this getting rinsed at Bloodsugar
Bit of nostalgia crept in me thinks.
All good mind ya
Had to laugh on the JBO Facebook page when everyone went into meltdown (admin involved, the lot), when someone stuck Jinny’s Keep Warm as being linked musically to the label.
Was tempted to stick it in here
How do you pronounce Yost? As in toast or lost? Serious question.
Yost.
This could be a entirely whole new thread right here.
