Daytime Clubbing- The Future Of The Industry?

I would have to agree that I too enjoy a daytime party but here in north america it is hard to get people to go out during the day. Most people I know go out late at night and I really prefer to go to bed early and wake up early not hungover. But the day parties I’ve gone too have always been a good time as that is when the heads come out.

For various reasons these days are behind me now but I did really enjoy the few daytime sessions I went to, partly because in my later years I did struggle to do the whole night - I was often a “disappear at 3am - turn up at the after at 9am” type person.

There is probably a commercial element as well, I read that the average bar spend at printworks was something like £12 per head but clockwork orange with its older crowd was something like £30+ (numbers may not be perfect but you get the gist)

Only problem with daytime jobbies I found was that they didn’t always lead to going to bed early for a lot of people - just added an extra 8 hours at the front to get stuck in. Also see “good that this night is a Friday, gives an extra day to recover” nope - still finish on Sunday evening…!

8am start does sound slightly strange ( Its not Space on a Sunday in 92 after all)
What would one have for breakfast pre rave at that hour - A bit of organic granola or full english ( obviously sourced from local butcher who knew all the pigs names)

They missed out “you know the score” and “for those that know” but other than that every rave flyer cliche is there :grinning:

I do like the 13:00 pm - 01:00am day/night we’ve been to here, good mix of punters and the 1pm start is a bit late for the carry on from the night before folks.

There were a few at Lowlife who had been to ALFOS at Phonox first. It was 4pm-10pm. They seemed to have had no issues getting into the party spirit earlier in the day!

How was Lowlife?

Good fun as ever. Most of the action was in the main room with great sets from Sarah, Frank & Bruce and then Bill. Second room with Ruby & Shy wasn’t as busy as it often is. They played some lovely stuff though, deeper disco cuts, lots of percussion, nicely underground vibe.
