Bill’s Patreon thing is well worth investing in if you’re a lover of a quirky cover. He seems to have an endless supply! He posted this one last summer.

Yes, highly recommended. (That’s what got me on to this track).

not to be a grump, but i call for a indefinite moratorium on covers of “some velvet morning”.

Total classic, forgot to post this here ( I think).

It’s certainly over covered but that’s actually quite an interesting take on it.

It is a good version

Part faithful cover, part total batshit. All brilliant.

I like Angel Olsen and I really like her recent cover of Billy Idol but this one is brutal. It just doesn’t have the emotion and frailty of the original.

“For Your Love” cover (kind of) (Mongolia, psych, 1977)

It tried to remain as faithful to the original as possible and failed. She even tries to affect the world weary crack in the voice that KD has, pffft. Angel Olsen is fine I guess, albiet pretty dull these days. She started out as raw and wild, then got sucked into the polish of the machine, much like a slew of her peers.

In this utter smasher cantopop cover of Classical Gas, George Lam fully commits to the bit and sticks the landing in Meatloafian style
