Nice little delivery from from the land of the rising sun.

11 United Athlé tees (the best quality basic blank tees, imho) and a pair of Moonstar Classic gym shoes.

This haul would have set me back £425 in the UK.

Even with an £87 shipping charge, the total from Japan was £221.

Im a bit worried about this im afraid. So there are six tees in one package and five in the other? couldnt you have ordered 10 and given my OCD a rest?

been on their site and there is a range of different styles. which weight of the tees do you go for? thanks

I go for the 6.2oz - model 5942, but yes there are plenty of other styles. If you’re in London there are a few stockists to try before you buy.

They do shrink slightly on first wash, but I take my usual size (L) as I like quite a fitted tee, rather than a looser fit. I’ve got a couple of XL’s which fit more like a L from ACMH (Magic Castles) if you have any of their tees.

What a saving! How long did it take to arrive?

Helpful, thanks

Any idea how they compare to the community clothing tees? Nice to support UK industry where possible. Not used to dealing with t shirt weights!

I buy through a proxy buyer, and they wait for the two orders to arrive before weighing, packaging them up, charging me for postage and then shipping. From the point of charging me it took 3 days via DHL Express.

No idea in terms of sizing and weight as CC don’t state that on their site. But I can see theirs have side seams, whereas I prefer a tubular knit, meaning the only seams are are where the arms are attached and on top of the shoulders.

Sounds pathetic but can anyone help with shoes? I tend to just buy a pair of Air Max 90s every six months . Need a pair of shoes for a wedding and no idea where to start ?

What’s your budget Mike?

Oosh, £250?

Dr Martens do some decent “smart” shoes which are comfortable… just avoid the “bobby on the beat” ones

I’d argue that Solovair (which had the Dr Martens contract until the mid-90s) still make a superior quality shoe.

If you happen to be a size 8-10, then these are amazing value. I own a pair that i bought in Japan a few year’s back, which are one of my daily work shoes, and I still get loads of people admiring them.

That’s a decent budget. I guess it also depends on what you’ll be wearing.

These are pretty timeless. Sanders Japan Sam Chukka Black Suede – Clutch Cafe
