Feels way too early to be thinking about this but I saw Bill’s message asking for Furtive 50 choices so it seems the end of the year list season is upon us.
Another year of fragmented choices? Or clear favourites?
The well established Furtive 50 format is your top 3 tunes (in order) and your favourite album. No edits, no re releases, must be new tunes from the year.
We’ve generally been a bit more flexible on here.

We can waive the no re-edits rule in 2 clear cases - Lovehandles cosmic masterpiece and The Nightlark’s, erm, other cosmic masterpiece.
Can we do clobber of the year, and mix of the year as well? Enjoyed those the past couple of years.

Right theres a few of my favourites from this year for now. I’ll do a longer post at a later time once I have a proper think and dig through some records
First one that sprang to mind for me for best track was ‘Confessions of a Queen’ by Payfone!
If we were allowed edits then Lovehandles’ Pat Benatar edit would win by a country mile.

Mixes - Luke Una Essential Mix
Podcasts - Word In Your Ear/Rest Is History (couldn’t separate them).
Clobber - Uniqlo sweatshirts. Reasonably priced, very comfy and I seem to be accumulating them in various colours.
TV - Big Boys
Cinema - A Real Pain
People - President Zelensky (again)
Events - The paedo formerly known as Prince Andrew finally getting stripped of his titles.
Other stuff- An absolutely bumper crop of tomatoes from my backyard plants.
And finally, my own category.
Disappointment Of The Year- Keir Starmer. A bitter,bitter, disappointment.
I’d forgotten about A Real Pain. Loved that movie.
Adding the latest Lex Wolf release on MAD Edits to the very short list (ie Lovehandles) of edits of the year.
All three of the Lextended releases are excellent imo.
