Soundtrack to a few early 2000s trips that Costes comp.
way too many for a “best ever” and i won’t tell the story but let’s just say i had about as close to a pinnacle moment as can be had, while this played:
I love all that stuff as well, got pretty much everything rabbit in the moon have ever been near
My now sadly departed mate was a big Namlook fan, had a lot of long mornings behind the curtains listening to his stuff.
Just sat and listened to the full 15 mins - great piece of music
I used to listen to this coming down all the time
And this of course

And this!
And it goes without saying KLF Chill Out and Space
Much respect to @guy for nominating Sky High - I had an amazing morning walking solo around Paddington in Sydney with that album on my Walkman(!) after my fellow night before party friends all fell asleep and I couldn’t.
This whole album surely deserves a mention
as does yet another Mixmaster Morris gem
Found that Ultramarine interiors EP really special, in a way the rest of their stuff hadn’t quite landed with me. Definitely got their own sound. https://blackfordhill.bandcamp.com/track/decoy-point-version
This is a great Phil Mison compilation which got heavy rotation bitd and still stands up.
Phil Mison - Chillout - The Album | Releases | Discogs
In the wonderful world of discogs there is a VG+ for sale for £12 and a G+ for £45…
Didn’t know this one, love it, downloaded it from BC.
Yeah that autumn leaves one is a big favourite. Sends chills!
I linked the playlist for the album. Top ten for me!
In it for the long haul with this nearly 15min excursion, love it when Joe Henderson’s sax just glides in halfway through.
Like this to kick back to aswell. Lake Haze - Ephemeral
Those Hardkiss brothers were amazing… One played here in Ireland early 90s at this small club in Dublin, can’t remember if was it Gavin or Scott but it’s in Irish clubbing history as one of the best nights and as usual everyone said they were there… Lol
Yep 4 cornered room is a masterpiece
This isdn broadcast was the ultimate for me in the early nineties. I don’t think they surpassed it, it was better than any of their official releases and better than the essential mix from the previous year ‘93. A massive leap forward…totally mind blowing and still sounds fresh 30 years later:
Less said the better about the bizarre driving footage someone has included here though
