There was definitely a psychadelic (though non-acid) vibe to late 80s house.

I did an edit of this (I’ll leave it here for a minute) if anyone wants it… My gf does that ‘pretends to take a shot’ thing whenever I say ‘i did an edit of that’ when something comes on that I er… you get the gist…

Nice. Thank you.
Id counter it cant be psych & have pianos ( great record hough)
Fair point. The breakdown and following couple of minutes are the psych bit. Before the piano comes back and it’s “just” a killer house tune again.
Michael J Blood goes housey

Didn’t realise Luke had done an edit of it. Original was posted on here minutes after Rotation Garden Party finished I think!

He played this last tune at gods waiting room in August, lights up. not sure if it was his edit or the original but it was great, alot of very sweaty smiling faces!
Hard to know exactly what is going on with Boothroyd at any moment, last time I looked he was playing ZZ Top at an Evian Christ trance party. This pay what you like EP is beautiful though, autumnal Spanish guitar and soaring Roedelius style synths.
