Balearic Trolling

Big fan of dropping a track and then halfway through everyone realises what they’re actually dancing to. Lets have your faves. Heres a couple to kick things off

drvg cvltvre/RA-x stuff.

Well, it chugs and it’s at the right tempo, but it’s pure terror, in the best way.

the kids want techno techno techno!

also I’m not joking but am definitely trolling when I say this at -16 is the ultimate balearic tune. Try it

I was in a club in Kingston (Jamaica not West London) once and they played Celine Dion and the place went mental. One of the best things I’ve ever seen in a club…

yeah she’s a superstar over there, no Jamaican bbq is complete without Celine dion bangers.

Just to demonstrate what I was saying, excuse the excessive compression, it’s the only way I can listen to music extremely quietly when my tinnitus is acute, and didn’t want to turn it off to reset

I’d already put the Lambada one in my box for sunday’s gig. You might’ve blown my cover :joy:

awesome rework of Wah - I suppose it is obvious when you hear the og, but I remember being floored when I first heard it

one of GW’s finest imo - the intro yields only the most subtle clues

The Revenge - teasing for 4 mins before THAT vocal comes in!

maybe the og is too obscure to elicit that kind of knowing reaction at a bigger party but still sounds fantastic when the vocal comes in (first heard via Nathan Gregory Wilkins I think)

Another ALFOS classic teaser. They played at The Drop and the whole place went OFF.

This is hilarious

I like this one, although you find out what it is pretty quick:

The Loveface series I think is a fantastic way of listening to old records in a new way. Got hipped to them here, and I immediately bought the first two:

Heard this recently, pitched down, in a bar. Listening to it now it’s pretty easy to spot. But in a social situation where I wasn’t focussed on the music it was a fun surprise when the vocals came in.
