No, but at one point a delegation from Panama, led by Alexander Armstrong, invaded the royal box and surrounded Justin Rose

Mad for tennis, generally prefer the spectacle of the individual battles over the team sports. Have been waiting for someone to upset Alcaraz or Sinner on the way to the Aus Open finals, but no such luck so far.

Sinner looks to be besting the American Shelton in the quarters as I type and will face Djoker on Friday. And Alcaraz faces Zverev in their own semi.

As an aside Zverev is the strangest egg in his post match interviews, to me he seems childish, naive and unfortunately very difficult to like. Wouldn’t be surprised if there is some developmental stuff going on with him, whether diagnosed or as yet undiagnosed? Reading about his past emotional regulation issues, should I say, in relationships is pretty dark reading.

Haven’t been tracking Djoker’s fitness too carefully, not sure if he’s on track for another big AO win. More interested in all the next gen guys jockeying for position tbh.

2 sets down and Novak through because of an opponents injury. I didn’t think anything would make me want to see him lose more… (Sorry, I just don’t find him a decent sportsman, let alone anything approaching gracious)

Sinner has won the last 5 against him so good odds you get to witness his ousting tomorrow!

Yeah OK couple of dramatic 5 setters today after a somewhat clinical and predictable tournament. Tis a fine game.

Hell of a comeback by Rybakina to beat Sabalenka in the final, 3 down in the third set and won it.
