Album tracks you wish were on 12”

Tangerine Dream “Love on a real Train”

Too quiet and groove distortion on Risky Business OST.
There was a7” promo French pressing but still not come across it.
That Williams version from a few years back was good but the og on a 12 would be great

Not a deep dig by any means but would love it on 12”

What are your picks for quiet lp tracks you’d like on a nice thick wide grooved 12”?

The Decadance edit is pretty tasty. Free DL on Soundcloud

Ray Mang also did a kind of cover / remake of that track from Risky Business - Look into my eyes which came out on 12. The OST is great from that film as in Rays version.

Thanks both
Yes there’s a few aren’t there? Maiden Voyage by Global Comm. also basically a rewrite as well, but none match the og for me

Michael Franks - When the Cookie Jar Is Empty.

The album version coming in at almost a minute longer than the 7" and 12" promo version.

Why???

A bootleg exists on 12” but we’re not counting those right?…

The version on the recent Optimo comp sounded slightly different, but I don’t think there’s a single release

‘Eminence Front’, The Who’s main contribution to the dance canon, is only available on expensive UK and US promo 12s. The UK promo went for £90 on a well-known auction site the other day. Too rich for me - and anyway I’m holding out for the US promo as the artwork is better.

On a similar tip, TG’s “Charley The Kid” from the Firestarter soundtrack is also a crap pressing. There was a great beefed up Dream Chimney edit mind you …

Ah

You can’t have that… that would be a reissue

The Zebras/For Your Love. Only on the Paradise Garage album as far as I know.

I’ve got a Jaz edit which was a dodgy mp3 off the Flexx blog like 15 years ago.

This needs a fat 12” reissue. @JuraSoundsystem how about it?

I’ve got a copy of it on the ‘disco exotique. Volume 1’ EP. Just checked Discogs and it’s around £12.50. It’s a decent pressing as well.
