i remember being a skater in the 80’s and hearing people freak out about how dangerous it was - and i think it was thrasher who pointed out that ER’s had about twice the amount of visits from fishing accidents as they did for skateboarding accidents.

Had a carp on the mat, the hook had pulled through its mouth so I was trying to cut the braid off so I could pull it through and away and the bastard fish started thrashing around on the mat like an absolute nutter and bam, hook was in 
Hospital numbed it with shit loads of local anaesthetic injections (not fun) and used a ring cutting tool to cut both ends off and pull it out. Tetanus shot and strong antibiotics.
Broke the Radial head of my right elbow four weeks ago tripping over a kerb. I’m no longer allowed out alone

Used to fish up in the Borders and had a few of those with mates, the beats Boatman used to snip of the barb pull it through and pour some Highland Park on it. None of this hospital malarkey!

Friend and neighbour is selling this beautiful Van 1980 Mercedes left to him In a will by his uncle… Same colour inside as outside… Never lived in and more or less as it came out of the showroom…
