Silk Cut Red - were they stronger of ‘lighter’ ?

I noticed them, they were my smoke
Same strength but shorter - ‘regular’ length like Picadilly.
I was very pleased to find them everywhere, even machines, on a trip to Eire in the early 90s

Re: Silk Cut, the amount of people that used to use them to make joints, because they thought the tobacco used was less harmful. A complete fallacy. They were the same strength as B&H, but just had loads of holes around the base of the filter, so upon inhalation, the air/smoke mix was less toxic.

You can tell that I was the fun one at after parties…

I used to stick them in the microwave for a minute to dry them out to make a bong mix.

What the fuck was I doing?

Tbf I always used to roast a cigarette with a lighter before making a mix. It’s a charas/chillum thing that stuck.

The old sticking the rizla sticky edge to cover up the holes in the filter.

My mates would always do that roasting thing with a joint after it was rolled. I’d always assumed it was to ensure the papers were stuck together.

I swear most of the effect of hash and brick weed in the 90’s was just ciggie tobacco :joy:
