Apologies for the sound quality, but this is very happy/sad/memory for me. Last ever Optimo where loads of the old crew turned up. Crazy and very emotional and one of the top best memories of any clubbing experience. Lots of friends (all met through Optimo, past and recent) RIP to the legend and inspriation that was Keith McIvor ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ [Optimogeddon full 7 hours](https://www.mixcloud.com/michael-ohare5/optimogeddon-the-final-optimo/) Another iconic Optimo moment was Keith dropping ,Sean Paul’s - Like Glue, at peak time - Mayhem! ---

Nina Simone dedicating ‘For a while’ to her former lover who was executed in Liberia. The obvious emotion in the song and in her as she sings it are so intense and its unusual to see both at once. I come back to it a lot. https://www.youtube.com/embed/Qq12jRWlitQ?feature=oembed&wmode=opaque ---

First YT vid that I became mildly obsessed with way back when, funkier than a mosquito’s tweeter…the kid losing his mind at 4;12, the horn section who look like a couple of off duty cab drivers… https://www.youtube.com/embed/w89OA1Wh3aw?feature=oembed&wmode=opaque ---
