Used to love going into work on a Monday, firing up the kettle, closing my office door and starting the working week listening to Josey Rebelle on her Rinse show (yes yes šŸ™‚). Eliza Rose on Rinse as well. Good at mixing up old and new. Different angles for the wants list. ---

Deb Grant on 6 Music is a real rising star of radio. Her mid morning show on Jazz FM was my regular work accompaniment, always impressed by her obvious passion for and deep knowledge of a wide range of music. ---

There seems to be a refreshing number of women out there doing it in an understated way in the ā€œpost-minimalā€ (I donā€™t really know what to call it) scene. [Laurine](https://soundcloud.com/laurine_sl) from Slow Life (been around for quite a while obvs) and [Loren](https://soundcloud.com/lorenheer), for example. Loads more as well. ---

I played a Sunday afternoon session a few weeks back and played ā€œUnreasonable In Loveā€ as it set the mood. Loads of head nodding and asking me who it was. I love how delicate her voice is. Others in a similar vein: Ego Ella May Akemi Fox Poppy Ajudha All wonderful. ---

So many women killing it with pure synth goodness. Caterina Barbieri is one I love, but thereā€™s many. [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/X_KqJBv3GiA/maxresdefault.jpg "Fantas") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_KqJBv3GiA) ---

I think people really donā€™t talk about Ash Lauryn enough. Solid producer but as a DJ, sheā€™s been my definitive go-to for quality, soulful House music for the past few years. https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?visual=false&url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F1411868569&show_artwork=true&maxheight=166 [Previous page](https://forum.testpressing.org/t/women-smashing-it-right-now/3086.md?page=2) [Next page](https://forum.testpressing.org/t/women-smashing-it-right-now/3086.md?page=4)
