I messaged the label. I assume it’ll be on their Bandcamp. I already bought the digital when it was first tipped on here but will def go back for the record. Discogs copies of 1st press now very expensive.
Yeah I was about to spend the money on the 35 quid copy.
They said it’ll on pre-order on Bandcamp Friday.

Have wanted that Grasso comp for a while, great Disco and Funk stuff. The Chaos in the CBD record is my album of the year, what a ride from Ambient and Street Soul to intricate House. The Sebema 12’’ is top notch 80’s Soukous/Disco business.

Had a wee flick through the few boxes of records in a charity shop up here in Orkney and found a load of original On-U Sound LP’s. Picked up these two African Head Charge LP’s that are in mint condition, although the sleeves are slightly worn. They were wanting £20 for each but got them to do £30 for both. A few Dub Syndicate LP’s too, but already have them. And then in another box, some '90’s chill and trance like Dreamfish, a couple of Rising High Comps - Chill Out or Die and Secret Life of Trance. Would have bought them too but they were all in the £45-£50 range.

It is. Both are two of my favourite AHC albums and they were both sounding immense out loud giving the sub woofer a good workout.
Both the records are in mint condition, so I’m well chuffed with that surprise of a find. It’s usually just the normal charity shop crap. I did pick up a mint 12” of Why by Carly Simon a few months back too for a few quid.
The only other time I’ve had a similar gold strike was when someone had dumped a stack of mint condition Stereolab, Nurse with Wind, etc.

Fun fact about that Murl release is that the b side has Peter Noone aka Herman from The Hermits on backing vocals. I love me some Murl (Merrel Fakhauser).
He also wrote the classic surf instrumental “Wipe Out” with an early band he lead named The Impacts.
I first heard him on a bootleg cd of his band Mu on the release “The Band From The Lost Continent (The Complete Maui Sessions)” - top shelf hippy-folk-esoteric mysticism-blues that took it’s cues from James Churchward’s The Lost Continent of Mu, a book about the mythical “Hawaiian Atlantis.”
He also lead 2 other great bands - Fapardokly, and HMS Bounty, an overtly psyche pop band. He had crossovers with members of Beefheart’s Magic Band and other influential rock luminaries. Referred to in circles as “the ultimate cult rocker” - his story deserves a doco!!

It is crazy, but I can also see there point of view. I volunteered at a charity shop for my friend who was the manager, to sort and price there records. I used Discogs a lot, but would price them below the average. It seems most go with the higher end. I also got first dibs on any I wanted 
I have bought quite a lot of bits from this place, and donated some nice furniture that I no longer had the space for, so I know the staff quite well. I just told him the chances of a fanboy like me of all things On-U Sound happening to stroll in anytime was very unlikely.

Fella who runs the music at oxfam near me defo prices at high end of discogs range. Very rare to get a real find in there now, the other chazza shops on the avenue are bit more fruitful.
