Nenah Cherry’s A Thousand Threads book is great. Been flying through it.
She’s also on GP just now speaking about it.
I went to see Michel Faber perform some of the poems from this book. I had not long had my life implode and the end of my marriage. The book is poems written by the author as his wife got incurable cancer, and later died. It was one of the most beautifully emotional hours I’ve ever had. I was crying the whole way through.
Love, loss, grief and how to move on. I met Michel and bought 10 copies to give to my most cherished friends and family.
I just bought another copy for the wife of my cousin who died from cancer on Boxing Day. Aged 49. I will wait for a while before giving her the book. Far too soon.
